How long does it take to learn how to code?

It depends on how much time you have to put into learning. Some people can see life-changing results in 6 months. For other people, who have less time to dedicate to learning how to code, it may take 12-24 months to reap the benefits of learning how to code.

How much time a day should I put into coding?

Everyone has different schedules, so there is no perfect answer to this question. We suggest you dedicate a minimum of 1-3 hours daily to your coding journey. This 1 - 3 hour can be spent in several different ways:

  • Watching coding lessons
  • Typing code in a computer
  • Handwriting your code
  • Listening to a podcast
  • Reading a book
  • Reading a blog
  • Listening to an audiobook
  • Helping other coders/students
  • Empowering others to code
  • Attending events, seminars, or workshops

As you can see, sitting at a computer is not the only way to "learn how to code."

Learning to code is a lifestyle. It's a never-ending learning loop.

Do I need a Computer?

You can watch the lessons from a mobile phone or even use a gaming console, but long-term we strongly suggest you use a computer.

If you don't have computer access, you can ask a family or friend to borrow theirs. You can also use your local library's computer as a temporary resource.

What type of computer is best for coding?

The best computers for coding are Windows, Macs, and even Chromebooks will do for a while. As long as you have internet access, we can show you how to code on the computer!

There are 3 things you should check when choosing a computer: the RAM, the Storage, and the Processor.

We suggest your computer have the following:

  • At least 4GB of RAM, although we recommend 8GB or more.
  • 100GB of Storage or more
  • An i5 processor or better.

Every computer will have details for RAM, storage, and i5.

You can research using Google to find out more about your computer or the one you're buying.

For example, you can Google: "Macbook 2017 Specs."

Are the lessons self-paced?

Yes, they are. You are not mandated to be there even when we have live sessions. You can always watch the lessons on your watch. The good thing is that there will always be people on the same lessons as you or beyond you willing to give you a helping hand.

How long do I have access to the lessons?

For any courses you purchase outright, you have unlimited lifetime access.

If you are a paying member, you have unlimited lifetime access as long as your account is active (meaning you are making your monthly membership payments)

Where do I learn more about canceling?

You can learn more about our cancellation policy by clicking here.

Do I need to be good at math to learn to code?

No. Most websites and apps you'll be building don't require you to be good at math. It's a huge myth that you need to be good at math to learn how to code. Math is only for advanced computer engineering.
